Learn to love and value yourself
Sometimes I get really weird like whenever I get really happy and I mean really really happy , I get a weird feeling of not to get too happy or something wrong might happen..
I don't know if this is just me or everyone get this feeling ..but frankly saying even before writing this blog my thinking was still that this really happens but when I was preparing for the blog I got a feeling that ..No , why am I feeling this . Why can't I be happy to the utmost..why I should not celebrate even if there is a reason behind my happiness or even if there is not..
Why do we feel this ?
OK OK OK, fine!
It's not a complete inner dialogue like that down I'm not crazy, but deep down those are the underlining worries that sometimes creep up on me when I'm feeling really great. I know a big part of this is anxiety, and some of you might not experience it exactly that way I do.
However if you're human, you're probably guilty at times of shrinking to lower standards because deep down you don't feel good enough or worthy enough for something greater. Whether that's in your relationships, career, personal goals, etc...
But there is someone who really inspires me and yeah she's a blogger too ..Jen Saviano
Once I read a quote on her blog :-
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
This is from a book named 'A return to love' .
If you read this quote carefully enough you will get your answer .
You can start by doing these things:-
- First and foremost..we should change our perspective ..we should focus on how blessed and what good things we have instead of thinking on what we don't have
- Do what makes you happy ..
- Look on the brighter side , the good in every situation
- Associate yourself with people that excite your spirit
- Be patient with yourself
- You know I am too like this but at least I try . For example : whenever I feel hurt by people close or strangers ..I just repeat one thing in my mind that I don't care ..and it really helps even if I do care but still I just say this because this is how I can get my peace of mind or I just try to see good in that particular situation..
